On May 28th at 7:30 PM, MY WORKSPACE will host a two-hour seminar titled “Why Start a Business in Your 40s and 50s?” at their Gangnam Tower location.

As more individuals face unexpected entrepreneurial opportunities later in their careers, there is a growing need for resources and support tailored to middle-aged potential entrepreneurs. Despite the government's support programs for post-retirement entrepreneurship, these often do not align well with the immediate needs of those who have not prepared in advance. Currently, there are no startup education programs that offer hands-on guidance, similar to private tutoring, from the initial stages of finding a viable business idea.

In Silicon Valley, "Draper University" serves as an entrepreneurial university, offering comprehensive education on the startup ecosystem, fostering entrepreneurial spirit, and providing opportunities for investment. This attracts aspiring entrepreneurs and startup founders worldwide. Even those without a prepared business idea are guided towards successful entrepreneurship through a curriculum filled with Silicon Valley's know-how.

While domestic startup accelerators like Primer and Spark Labs exist, they focus on discovering promising startups through open auditions and cannot provide one-on-one mentoring for participants who struggle to follow the entrepreneurship curriculum.

In response, MY WORKSPACE is holding a seminar specifically for individuals in their 40s and 50s contemplating entrepreneurship. The seminar will discuss the importance of meticulous preparation for starting a business. Sean Lee, CEO of Draper Startup House Korea, an entrepreneur, investor, and startup mentor, will share insights on the factors that contribute to the success and failure of startups and how to embark on a business venture with a higher chance of success. The event will conclude with a Q&A session and networking opportunities.
